Day 2
So the treatment plan requires activity at home- and today was the first day. They have 4 different supplements that i take:
1) there is a vanilla shake as a breakfast (or with).
2) there is a orange liquid i take that they call a neurorecharge
3) there are drops that i take twice a day with meals as a metabolism booster
4) there is a detox drink i take every night 2 hours before bed.
In future posts, I'll describe each of these in more detail.
In addition to the supplements, i also perform red light therapy twice/day. Each session is 20 minutes for my hands + 20 minutes for feet- so thats nearly 90 minutes/day of light therapy.
Light therapy: 2 sessions @ 40 minutes each. feet+hand session in the morning, feet + hand session in the evening
Breakfast: assigned supplement shake
Lunch: steak (yes, just meat)
Dinner: chicken fajita fiesta salad (from Rosa's Tortilla Factory)
Exercise: 25 minutes on elliptical
Glucose: 105 (breakfast), 89 (lunch), 90 (dinner), 99 (bedtime)
Weight: 242.7
How i felt today: the light therapy caused the tingling to increase ever so slightly while it was happening and just after.... but then after it was over, it actually started to feel better. As the day progressed, it's returning to the incessant numbness/tingling. The sensations are more pronounced in my fingers/hands- almost to the edge of pain while light therapy was going on. The red lights almost felt hot on my hands- which ironically is encouraging to me because i often lose the ability to feel heat in my hands from the laser therapy.
