Day 1
So i started treatment yesterday... it was a mixed bag. Treatment started with some electromagnetic therapy and some kind of light therapy. After 20 minutes of this, we moved to another room where they used a really intense vibrator to break up any scar tissue that might exist. Finally, they concluded treatments with a warm laser treatment. After the physical treatments, the doctor came in to discuss what i felt and didn't feel and discuss a diet plan to accompany treatment.
My initial impression is that i could have purchased the electromagnetic rings and light pads on the internet for a small fraction of the cost of the treatment plan. I was most disappointed by the diet- it's keto. I'm not surprised because Dr. Thai advocates keto in his books... and a lot of google searching provides significant evidence supporting the benefits for weight loss, blood sugar control, and yes- neuropathy. The reason for my dismay is because i specifically asked before payment about diet- and i was told it was nothing weird.... i suppose the difference lies in what one considers weird.
Now here is the other side of the coin, they were exceptionally professional, friendly and courteous. I would also add that after leaving, i PERCEIVED that i had less pain in my fingers and toes.... and i believe the feeling was real because 2-3 hrs later, the numbness/ tingling was back to 'normal'. They did tell me in advance this was expected- and as treatments continue, the effects should last longer and longer.
