Background and setup

My name is Anthony.  I've officially been a type 2 diabetic for 1 year now.   My A1C is relatively controlled- at 6.3- and my fasting glucose across all meals runs around 118.  Despite this, i have had non-stop uninterrupted 24x7 numbness and tingling in my fingers and toes for the last 3-4 months now.   Nothing makes it better.   Nothing makes it worse.   It is simply perpetually there.  Everything i read said this is diabetic peripheral neuropothy- and that doesn't end well.... so i decided i want to do something to interrupt this.

Most material on the internet says that neuropothy is permanent and irreversible- but Dr. Bao Thai says that he is ahead of common medical understanding and he can provide not just relief- but reversal and healing.  During the initial consult, he claims to have a 96% success rate with the patients he accepts.   To his credit, Dr. Bao Thai has 96 google reviews with an average of 4.9 stars out of 5.0.

To be fully transparent, there are some caution flags I have.  Specifically, i am most concerned he doesn't accept insurance- and the list price of the treatments is nearly $500/session.  My second concern is that there are no guarantees and  his measure of success is that he can make you 50% better- which is subjectively measured.

Despite these warnings and personal skepticism, I'm going to take a step of trust here and give his practice a try.  My decision is based on the near certainty that left on its own, the problem will grow worse.... and that is not an acceptable outcome i will allow.   If this disease beats me, it won't be because i didn't make every effort to fight back.

Note- to be crystal clear, i have some reservations and skepticism that remain, but i WANT it to be true.   My goal with this blog then is to document my sessions with Advanced Nerve and Health in Carrollton with Dr Bao Thai.  This blog then will reveal the outcome- either affirming the claims of Dr. Thai and advocating for his practice and methods.... or exposing it as at least unsuccessful for me.
